Into the Dust
Into the Dust presents a series of analogue photographs collected from moments at the margins of elsewhere. Shot on film—often expired after being carried across continents and states, tucked into purses and backpacks, brought on road trips, exposed to desert heat, or dropped in frozen puddles—the images return with a soft grain and a quiet, dreamlike patina. They hold traces of movement, memory, and the lingering pull of places that remain long after one has gone.
Rather than a singular narrative, what binds this collection is the constancy of the camera and the artist behind it—moving through the world with a sense of wonder. Though some images originate in Mexico, others in France or the United States, their specific locations fade. These photographs inhabit an unanchored, wandering space, stitched with longing. They resonate with a restless nostalgia—an experience of being uprooted, yet unexpectedly at home within the in-between.
